Terms of Service
Last updated 19 August 2026
These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) are the agreement between you and the operator of Blueprintr (“Blueprintr”, “we”, “us”), which runs the service at blueprintr.io from Portugal. Blueprintr is an independent product and is not an incorporated company, so there is no entity name or company registration number quoted here.
By creating an account, subscribing, or using the service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Blueprintr. If you are accepting on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
1. What the service is
Blueprintr is a diagram-first documentation platform. You can create and edit architecture diagrams and technical documentation, organise them into blueprints, foliums, and portfolios, publish them publicly or to a restricted audience, collaborate on them in real time, connect a cloud account so that infrastructure is drawn from live data, and use AI assistance while authoring. Features change as the product develops, and we may add, alter, or withdraw them.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 16 and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give accurate account details and keep them current. We use your email address to reach you about security and billing, so an address you do not read is your problem, not ours.
- Keep your credentials, passkeys, and API keys to yourself. Everything done with them counts as done by you. Turn on two-factor authentication if the account matters.
- Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you think your account has been accessed by someone else.
- One person per account. Sharing a single login across a team is what seats are for.
3. Plans, billing, and tax
There is a free plan. Paid plans are individual Premium, per-seat Teams, and per-seat Enterprise, billed monthly or yearly, plus one-off AI credit packs. All payments run through Stripe; we never handle your card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period at the price then in effect, until you cancel.
- Teams and Enterprise are billed on the seat count you select. Keeping that count accurate is your job; adding seats mid-period is charged pro rata.
- Prices are exclusive of tax unless stated otherwise. VAT, GST, or sales tax is worked out at checkout and added to the total.
- AI credit packs are one-off purchases. Credits are consumed by AI features at the rates shown in the app and are not exchangeable for cash.
- We may change prices. A change takes effect at your next renewal, and we will give you reasonable notice beforehand.
- You authorise us and Stripe to charge your payment method for what is due. If a charge fails we may retry it and may suspend paid features until it clears.
4. Cancelling and refunds
Cancel at any time from your billing settings or the Stripe customer portal. Access to paid features continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and we do not charge you again. Refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms and does not limit any statutory right you have as a consumer.
5. Your content
Your content stays yours. We claim no ownership of the diagrams, documents, and files you create, upload, or import (“Your Content”). You grant us the licence we need to run the service for you: to store, copy, transmit, render, and display Your Content, and to show it to whoever you have chosen to share it with. That licence exists only to operate Blueprintr and it ends when you delete the content or your account, save for backups that expire on their normal cycle.
- You are responsible for Your Content and for having the rights to use it, including any third-party trademarks, icons, stencils, or material you incorporate.
- Publishing is under your control and is not undone by us. Content you mark public, publish to a subdomain, put in an Atrium or Folium, or embed elsewhere is visible to the audience you configured. Check the visibility setting before you publish something confidential.
- If you attach your own analytics to pages you publish, that vendor's collection is yours to justify, disclose, and obtain consent for. See clause 6 of the Privacy Policy.
- Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. See clause 12.
6. Connecting a cloud account
Continuum can read an AWS or Azure account you connect and draw what it finds. By connecting one you confirm you are authorised to grant that access, and you accept that resource metadata pulled in becomes part of the blueprint holding it, under whatever visibility that blueprint has. Grant the narrowest read-only role that does the job. We read; we do not create, modify, or delete anything in your cloud account.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use Blueprintr to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual-property, privacy, or other rights;
- upload or publish unlawful, malicious, or deliberately misleading material, or anything designed to harm a person or a system;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service, another account, or our infrastructure, or to scan, probe, or disrupt any of it;
- reverse engineer the service, resell it, or make it available to third parties beyond what your plan permits;
- drive AI features to produce prohibited content, or to work around usage limits, quotas, credit accounting, or rate limits;
- scrape the service at scale, or run automated traffic that degrades it for other people.
Security researchers are welcome. Test only against your own account and content, do not touch other people’s data, and report findings to [email protected]. We will not pursue good-faith research that stays within those lines.
We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms or create legal risk for us or for other users. Where it is reasonable to do so we will warn you first and give you the chance to export your content.
8. AI features
AI features send your prompt and the content you point them at to third-party model providers, named in clause 9 of the Privacy Policy. AI output is frequently wrong, incomplete, or plausible-sounding nonsense. Review it before you rely on it. It is not professional advice, and generated diagrams are not a substitute for checking your actual infrastructure. AI usage is metered against your plan’s credits.
9. Third-party services
Blueprintr depends on other providers to run: hosting, CDN, payments, email, and AI models. Where you interact with one of them directly, such as the Stripe customer portal or an identity provider you sign in with, that provider’s own terms apply to that interaction. We are not responsible for services we do not control.
10. Our intellectual property
The Blueprintr software, name, branding, and the look and feel of the service belong to us and our licensors. These Terms grant you the right to use the service, and nothing else; all other rights are reserved. Blueprintr is built on open-source and other third-party components used under their own licences, which are listed at /licenses.
Feedback and suggestions you send us are welcome, and we may act on them freely without owing you anything for it.
11. Availability
We want the service up and we work at keeping it up, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation and we offer no uptime guarantee on any plan. We may take the service down for maintenance, and we may change or retire features. Where a change would materially reduce what a paid plan gives you, we will give you notice.
12. No warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, Blueprintr is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will meet your requirements, that it will be secure against every attack, or that content will never be lost. Blueprintr is an early product: keep your own copies of anything important. Nothing in this clause removes rights that cannot be removed under the law that applies to you, including statutory consumer rights.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, or business interruption. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the service or these Terms is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred euro.
None of this applies to liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or under mandatory consumer-protection rules.
14. Indemnity
If someone brings a claim against us because of Your Content or because you broke these Terms, you agree to cover the resulting claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs. This does not apply where the claim arises from something we did wrong, and it does not apply to you as a consumer where the law says it cannot.
15. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Blueprintr and delete your account whenever you like, from your account settings. We may suspend or close your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your account is used unlawfully, or if the law requires it. When the agreement ends, your right to use the service ends with it. Clauses that are meant to outlive it do so, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, and governing law.
If we close the service down, we will give reasonable notice, stop charging, and leave you a window to export your content.
16. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by Portuguese law, disregarding its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes go to the courts of Portugal. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you may bring proceedings there. Consumers in the EU may also use the European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform.
Talk to us first at [email protected]. Most things get sorted out faster in an email than anywhere else.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially affects your rights or what you pay, we will give you notice by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Blueprintr after that means you accept the updated Terms; if you do not, cancel and close your account.
18. General
- If a clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
- Not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it.
- You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer ours if the service changes hands, on notice to you.
- These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the service.
19. Contact
Questions about these Terms, your plan, or a charge: [email protected]. Privacy and data-protection requests go to [email protected] and are covered by the Privacy Policy.
