The basics
What is a QBR report?
A quarterly business review, or QBR, is a regular meeting where an MSP and a client review the last quarter's service, the health of the client's IT, the work ahead and the decisions the client needs to make. The QBR report is what both sides read before and during the meeting.
QBRs go wrong when the report is a long export of ticket statistics. Clients want to know whether the service was good, what is at risk and what they need to decide, and a one-page overview with the detail one click away answers all three.
In Blueprintr the QBR is a diagram: each figure, site and roadmap item is a tile that opens a stratum with its numbers and commentary. You write the figures from your own tools; Blueprintr presents them.
Why Blueprintr
QBRs clients look forward to
One canvas for the meeting, the detail behind every tile.
A dashboard on the canvas
Lay out figures, sites, roadmap items and decisions as tiles and icons, coloured green, amber or red against target.
VellumCommentary behind every figure
Give each tile a stratum with its breakdown, the comparison with last quarter and what you are doing about it.
StratumPresent it in the meeting
On Premium, walk the client through the review with Podium, each slide a framed part of the live canvas.
PodiumEvery quarter in one place
Keep each quarter as a diagram tab in the client's QBR blueprint, up to 20 tabs, so earlier reviews are one click away.
Cloud cost as a starting point
On the Team plan, Continuum Cloud adds an estimated cost view to a client's AWS or Azure diagram, to start the cloud spend conversation.
ContinuumThe same layout for every client
Save the review as a template, so every client's QBR has the same sections and each quarter starts from the last.

FAQ
Questions about qbr reports
Is this QBR report template free?
Yes. You can build a QBR on the free Personal plan with the Vellum editor and strata, and save it as a template for the next quarter. Presenting with Podium needs Premium.
What should an MSP QBR include?
Service figures against the contract, what went wrong and what changed, the health of the estate, risks and their cost, a roadmap for the next four quarters, and the decisions the client needs to make.
Does Blueprintr pull figures from my PSA or service desk?
No. You write the figures on the tiles from your own tools. Blueprintr presents them with the commentary behind each one.
How long should a QBR meeting be?
Many MSPs aim for 45 to 60 minutes. Keep the page to what you can cover in that time and put everything else in the strata, where the client can read it afterwards.
Can I present the QBR from Blueprintr?
Yes. Open the blueprint and click through the tiles, or on Premium build a Podium presentation from the same canvas, so the slides and the report never differ.
Can the client keep a copy of the QBR?
Yes. Share the blueprint privately with the client's contacts, or export the diagram as a PDF and the blueprint as a zip with every tile's commentary.
