Blueprintr vs Lucidscale
Lucidscale no longer exists as a product you can buy on its own; Lucid moved it into the Cloud Accelerator, an add-on for Enterprise accounts. Both it and Blueprintr draw a cloud account from a read-only import. The difference is what the drawing becomes and who can buy it.

The short version
Choose Blueprintr if
You want a scan on the Team plan rather than an Enterprise add-on, the runbook and owner behind each resource, Terraform drift from state, and one live page.
Choose Lucidscale if
Your organisation is a Lucid Enterprise customer, wants Google Cloud as well as AWS and Azure, and wants the result on the Lucidchart canvas with scheduled refreshes.
Use both when
The Cloud Accelerator keeps a scheduled inventory for the architects on Lucid Enterprise. The systems engineers read on call are documented in Blueprintr with the detail behind the shapes.
How Lucidscale works
The Cloud Accelerator imports AWS through a cross-account role, Azure through an Enterprise application with the Reader role, and Google Cloud through a Viewer service account, or from a JSON file. It renders the result on a Lucidchart canvas with views such as network topology, security groups and resource inventory, refreshes on a daily to yearly schedule, and colours added, changed and removed resources since the last saved state. A Cloud Agent in beta builds diagrams from live AWS data by prompt, and a beta generates Terraform from shapes.
Blueprintr is diagram-first documentation. You draw the system in Vellum, write the detail into the shapes as strata, and publish one live URL. On Team, Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure from a read-only scan, and on AWS it also shows Terraform drift on the canvas. On Enterprise, Continuum Link attaches timestamped snapshots from monitoring and ITSM tools to the shapes, and Continuum Local sweeps your on-premise network from inside it so Blueprintr can draw it.

Where Blueprintr differs
On the Team plan, not an Enterprise add-on
The Cloud Accelerator is sold to Lucid Enterprise accounts through sales. Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure on Blueprintr's Team plan, at a published per-seat price.
A scan becomes a document
A Lucid cloud frame is a diagram with data fields and notes on the shapes. A Continuum Cloud scan lands a Vellum canvas with a stratum on every resource: markdown, tables, code, files and tabs, publishable as one page.
Drift from Terraform state
Point an AWS connection at remote state and drift between what you declared and what is running shows on the diagram. Lucid generates Terraform from shapes in beta; it does not read state.
Embeds that readers can use
A blueprint embeds in Confluence, SharePoint or a README as a live frame, and readers open strata inside it. Lucid embeds disable password protection and show notes on no export.
Where Lucidscale is the better choice
Lucid Enterprise customers who want AWS, Azure and Google Cloud drawn on the Lucidchart canvas they already use, refreshed on a schedule.
- AWS, Azure and Google Cloud, from an organisation-level role or a JSON upload.
- Scheduled refresh from daily to yearly, and a version compare that colours what changed since the last saved state.
- View templates for network topology, security groups, serverless, containers and resource inventory.
- Everything Lucidchart has around it: templates, data linking, revision history with compare, and Confluence, Jira and Microsoft 365 integrations.

Moving work from Lucidscale
Export the cloud frames you want to keep as SVG or PNG, then connect the same AWS or Azure accounts to Continuum Cloud on the Team plan with a fresh read-only role. Scope each scan to one system and the canvas is drawn for you, with a stratum on every resource for the notes that lived in Lucid's shape data. Google Cloud does not come across: Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure.
Frequently asked
Is Lucidscale still available?
Not as its own product. Lucid folded it into the Cloud Accelerator, an add-on for Enterprise accounts, and the help centre now calls the Lucidscale interface legacy.
Does Blueprintr need an Enterprise plan for cloud import?
No. Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure on the Team plan. Continuum Link, which attaches timestamped snapshots from 39 connectors, is the Enterprise feature.
Does Blueprintr draw Google Cloud?
No. Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure. The Cloud Accelerator covers Google Cloud as well.
Does either refresh on a schedule?
The Cloud Accelerator refreshes daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. Blueprintr scans on request, and shows Terraform drift when an AWS connection points at remote state.
