How Lucidchart works
Lucidchart is a freeform editor with shape libraries, templates, data linking from spreadsheets and Lucid AI for generating and iterating diagrams. Documents publish to a link, an image or an embed, and integrate with Confluence, Jira, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace. Cloud architecture import lives in the Cloud Accelerator, an Enterprise add-on that also absorbed Lucidscale.
Blueprintr is diagram-first documentation. You draw the system in Vellum, write the detail into the shapes as strata, and publish one live URL. On Team, Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure from a read-only scan, and on AWS it also shows Terraform drift on the canvas. On Enterprise, Continuum Link attaches timestamped snapshots from monitoring and ITSM tools to the shapes, and Continuum Local sweeps your on-premise network from inside it so Blueprintr can draw it.

A Lucidchart shape links out to a URL or another document. A Blueprintr shape opens a stratum: markdown, tables, code, files, tabs, even a second diagram. Readers navigate the documentation by clicking the diagram.
Cloud scans without an add-on
Lucid's cloud import sits in the Cloud Accelerator, an Enterprise add-on. Continuum Cloud draws AWS and Azure read-only on the Team plan, and shows drift from Terraform state on AWS on the canvas.
Sharing that stays live and readable
Publish a blueprint once and embed it in Confluence, SharePoint or a README. Readers open strata inside the embed, and the embed shows the current version. A Lucidchart embed disables its password protection.

Moving work from Lucidchart
Export each Lucidchart document as SVG or PNG for the picture and as CSV for the shape data. The import wizard brings the images into a blueprint, and draw.io files exported from Lucidchart open as editable draw.io tabs. Redraw the architecture diagrams in Vellum with the vendor icon packs, and put the data that lived in shape fields into the strata.

Can Blueprintr import Lucidchart files?
Not directly. Export the document from Lucidchart as a draw.io file and it opens as an editable draw.io tab, or export SVG or PNG and redraw in Vellum.
Is Blueprintr a replacement for the whole Lucid suite?
No. Blueprintr is for technical documentation: architecture, networks, data flows, pipelines and design packs. Org charts, floor plans and marketing diagrams are Lucidchart's territory.
